WHAT WE BELIEVE

ABOUT GOD

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and each possesses all of the attributes of God. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and everything in it. (Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 1:1-2,14, 10:30, 14:15-17; I Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, The Bible, Salvation, and The Church

The foundation of our ministry vision, mission, and global strategy, is our strong belief in Gods character that is given to us through His written word.  The below statements reflect our biblical focus as we seek to plant churches among all peoples.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is our Savior, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for all sin, and was raised from the grave after three days to demonstrate His defeat of sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return again to earth to reign as our powerful King. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Hebrews 1:1-2, 7:35; Luke 1:30-35; Ephesians 4:8; John 1: 1-15, 10-14, 14:3; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4; Acts 1:3,11; Revelation 20:4)

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Those who accept Christ as their Savior will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside them. He indwells believers from the moment of spiritual birth and empowers them to live a life pleasing to God. The Holy Spirit also serves as our comforter, guide and advocate. (John 3:5, 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30, 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:13, Galatians 5:16-26)

ABOUT THE BIBLE

We believe our foundation is based firmly upon the Bible as our final authority on Christian beliefs and as a guide to living. The Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love. (Matthew 5:18; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe all people are morally corrupt, and of themselves utterly unable to remedy their lost condition.  Men and women receive salvation as a free gift from God provided through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. The good news of salvation declares, “that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” Salvation is not received as a result, in whole or in part, of their own works, goodness, or religious ceremony, but by the undeserved favor of God alone. God declares righteous all who put their faith in Christ’s sacrificial death alone for their salvation. Saving faith includes repentance of sin. (Acts 13:38-39; Romans 4:5,6:23, 8:1, 38-39; John 10: 27-29; Ephesians 2:8-9, I Corinthians 15:3-5)

ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe the true Church is composed of all persons who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ; that they are united together in the body of Christ of which He is Lord and Head; and are commissioned for the God-given tasks of worshipping, fellowshipping, teaching, evangelizing, exercising the spiritual gifts, and practicing the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Neither baptism nor the Lord's Supper has any merit in helping a person obtain eternal life.  The Lord Jesus commanded all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and to disciple mankind from every nation. (Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:5; Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:23-24; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 24:46-49; Acts 1:8)

We Believe

We believe that the establishment and continuance of the local church is clearly taught in the New Testament Scriptures. (Acts 14:27, 20:17, 28-32; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11)

We believe that the local church is autonomous and free of any external authority or human control. (Acts 13:1-4, 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; 1 Corinthians 3:9, 16, 5:4-7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
